Just like grandma or grandpa would preserve from the garden, home canning is an art that's experiencing a Renaissance of late. Stocking your larder with the fruits fo the garden, farmers market and urban foraging increases both nutrition and flair to homespun meals. A cupboard landscape of home canned tomatoes, peppers and more is enought to perk up an winter doldrums.
