Learn the craft of woodworking from expert instructors. Build projects for both art and function. This 9-month course works for all levels. The small class size allows instructors to give individual attention to each student.

Explore our year-round adult courses. Learn about traditional skills. Meet instructors and current students.
Trees and Tools
The Wilders Woodshop covers the foundations of traditional woodworking. Understand types of wood and principles for selection, sectioning, splitting, and shaping. Delve into both rough and fine carving. Learn about finishing and preservation. Develop skills of tool safety, sharpening, and handling. Start and complete individual learning projects that cultivate your woodcraft skills.
How It Works
Immersion students attend one monthly Saturday or Sunday from September to April. If you also attend an additional Immersion Program you get the Woodworking Immersion program at a reduced cost. Check out the class schedule.
There are also learning opportunities every week. Immersion students and their immediate family get free admission to our Skills Evenings/Open Forge (every Thursday with propane fee) and our Open Archery Range (every Thursday, Friday, Saturday) where you can loose arrows anytime (after you forge your own arrowhead).
Please Note This is our adult woodworking program, we also offer a youth woodworking program.
September - April Field days are usually from 9am-4pm.

Optional Attend Skills Evenings (Thursday) or Open Archery Range (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) anytime. The option of over 200 more hours of class time for the entire family.
