A school to learn the wizardry of nature

Your invitations to the Trackers School of Magic should be arriving any day. Delivered to your doorstep, this actual parchment tells you where to go, what to bring and how you will get there.*

On your first day you arrive, you learn which guild you will join. From there your first task is to create your own wand, one specially crafted to your personality.

Much of our wizards studies take place in the enchanted forests of our local parks and may well include the following electives...

Magical Theater Train the skills of real magicians as we learn to captivate a crowd with fantastic stage illusions.

Ancient Runes Step back through time to discover ancient relics and mysteries of our city's history.

Potions and Compounds This is the safe science of brilliant flashes of light through fun experiments.

Herbalogy Discover what plants are good to eat and may even posses healing abilities.

Weather Divination Through clouds, plants and local wildlife, learn to tell when a "storms a brewing".

Transformation Uncover the secrets of the animals of the forest by following in their tracks with experts.

Cryptozoology Discover the legends of unique creatures many say are actually protectors of the forest.

Camouflage and Invisibility How do lone deer and big fat bears disappear in the woods? How are weasels there one moment and gone the next? Train their secrets of stealth and invisibility.

*in order to have an actual parchement invitation delivered to your child, you must register before April 31

Ages 9-10 Advanced Powers & Potions Older campers focus on more advanced studies in potions and tinctures. Plus, they craft a "master wand" with an actual feather core and learning more advanced woodworking skills.

A Smile

We help children to feel like that group of kids wandering country backyards 50 years ago: independent, tired, muddy, wet and happy from the woods and wild. We are acutely aware of full and real hazards of the out of doors after years of working in environmental education. We try to move away from the highly structured and limiting tolerances of conventional environmental education while keeping kids truly safe but not encapsulated from, or phobic of nature. We are deep patriots to the value of offering guided yet very free and transparent experiences for kids. We believe it is okay to be thirsty at times, cold at times, and wet at times. It builds empathy and care for the gifts of life. It fosters adventure and sincere accomplishment. We also believe it is critical to feel supported and cared for as they truly explore their passion and responsibility. And through a healthy life immersed in nature, they test the limits and great potential of the often untapped physical and emotional resiliency they possess
