Archery Apprenticeship: 9-Month Archery Training Program

Do you want to train to be an ace archer?

1-Year Archery Instruction and Training

The Trackers Rangers Guild offers an intensive training program for any teen or youth interested in archery as a practice and art.

This program is unique to Trackers as we go beyond the wood bow traditional to our Rangers Guild. We also train with modern laminate, compound, English longbow and more. This is a true archery apprenticeship that includes various studies such as target shooting, stealth archery and principles of primitive bow hunting.

How It Works

Apprentices attend a training field-day one monthly Saturday (ages 11-17) or Sunday (ages 6-10) from September to June. If they also attend the Rangers Apprenticeship program they get the Archery Rangers program at a significantly reduced cost. Check out the class schedule.

About Age Groups

We recognize that older and younger archery students may have different needs. Each age group has its own mentor that specializes in training with that particular age. Age groups often travel together yet while at the archery range, activities are separate. The breakdown is as follows...

Sunday (ages 6-10)

Ages 6: Adventurers Learning the basics of proper archery form through fun activities. More stealth, foam arrow training.
Ages 7-8: Voyagers Learning the basics of proper archery form with intermediate skills and focus.
Ages 9-10: Striders Learning and drilling the basics of proper archery form and intermediate skills. Strength building and focus.

Saturday (ages 11-17)

Ages 11-13: Pathfinders Learning and drilling the basics of proper archery form and intermediate and advanced skills. Strength building and focus.
Ages 14-17: Guardians Learning and drilling the basics of proper archery form and intermediate and advanced skills. Strength building and focus. Competition shooting and practicial applications.
