Pottery & Ceramics Apprenticeship
Through our apprenticeships, expert Trackers Mentors guide youth and teens in learning at art studios. Our classes are designed for students from beginner to advanced levels. Thanks to our small class sizes, instructors can provide individual attention to each apprentice. Develop the following skills:
Craftsmanship & Form: Craft handmade pottery for your home—bowls, cups, art pieces, and more. Practice shop safety and tool handling. Learn to care for and maintain studio equipment diligently. Delve into various sciences: chemistry, thermodynamics, and beyond!
Art & Design: Master designing in three dimensions, effectively bringing your innovative ideas to life. Explore the fundamentals of sculpture and expressive forms. Paint, glaze, and decorate. Develop your unique personal style as an artist.
Traditional & Modern: Go beyond the basic techniques. Explore a range of traditional pottery styles and engage with modern methods. Gain hands-on experience using both a potter’s wheel and a kiln. Fire your works using ancient and contemporary methods, from outdoor pit fires to our electric kiln.
