Trackers Open House: School Year
FREE to all families and community!
Winner of Best Camp & Best After School Classes with PDX Parent for 10 years.
Craft. Connect. Adventure. Trackers Guides and Leadership staff will be there to answer questions about our After School Outdoors, After School Skills Studio, Forest Preschool, Homeschool, and Weekend Apprenticeship programs. Our Family Success team will be on-site to answer your questions about programs, payment plans, financial aid, and enrollment. Current Apprentices, Homeschool students, and Leaders-in-Training will also be there to share their experiences and show off a few new skills.
Free Hands-On Activities
Every station is free, guided, and open all evening. Drop in, try a skill, meet a lamb, find your adventure.
Archery & Axe Throwing
Take aim side by side. Bows, arrows, and yes, real axes, with Guides coaching every throw. No experience needed, gear provided.
Meet the Baby Animals
Say hello to Waffles the lamb, Avery the kid goat, and their baby animal friends. Gentle pats, soft ears, and at least one attempted nibble of your sleeve.
Fire-Making
Spark a fire from friction with a real bow drill. Smoke, then embers, then the grin that comes from making fire yourself.
Blacksmithing & Ceramics
Watch metal glow and take shape in the forge, then see clay spin up on the wheel. Family projects included, sparks and mud encouraged.
Casting Contests
Grab a rod and test your aim. Small prizes for true casts, honorable mentions for spectacular misses.
Forest & Farm Crafts
Press apple cider and drink it minutes later. Learn forest and homestead crafts straight out of the storybooks.
Foam Sword Battles
Jump into fast-paced games with safe foam swords. Fair warning: the kids usually win.
Goblin Market
Raid the junk drawer, bring your baubles, and barter like a proper goblin at the OPEN Goblin Market.
Let the Adventure Begin
Already thinking about registering? Don't wait. Many of our programs fill fast. This Open House is a great way to get inspired, but signing up early secures your child's spot in the village.

Good to Know
Youth Participants Guardians must fully supervise children under 16. This is a free community event, not a drop-off program. Come ready to be part of it.
