Books. Crafts. Magical Goblin Eggs? Join us for Trackers first ever KidCon — a free community celebration to welcome the start of Spring. Portland's top children's book authors and graphic novel creators will read from their work and lead book-themed craft projects. Parents and kids throw axes and shoot arrows together. And when a goblin sneaks past — chase them down for a dragon tear to trade for a goblin egg. We'll close the day with an open Spring Goblin Market where you can barter the treasures you've gathered. Stay to the very end.
What's Happening at KidCon
From author readings and book crafts to goblin treasure hunts and axe throwing, every hour of KidCon has something to discover. Here's a look at what's in store:
Author Readings
Meet local children's book and graphic novel creators as they read from their work, sign books, and chat with young fans.
Book Crafts
After each reading, the author leads a hands-on craft activity inspired by their book. Make something unique to take home.
Goblin Egg Treasure Hunt
Spot a goblin sneaking around, chase 'em down to earn a dragon tear. Trade it for a goblin egg filled with chim-chams to barter.
Archery & Axe Throwing
Free for parents and kids. Take aim side by side. No experience needed. Gear provided. Just show up and give it a try together.
Skills Demos
Watch and learn as Trackers Artisans demonstrate blacksmithing, woodworking, ceramics, and more throughout the day.
Open Goblin Market
At 1:30 PM, set up shop and barter with friends using the treasures you've brought and gathered throughout day.

We are thrilled to welcome some of Portland's most beloved children's book authors and graphic novel creators to KidCon. Each one will read from their work, take questions, sign books, and lead a hands-on craft inspired by their story. Come meet the people behind the books your kids love — and discover a few new favorites.

KidCon is free and open to all families and community members at Trackers Lodge (SE Portland). RSVP below or just show up. From special guest authors and crafts to sneaky goblins and treasure-filled eggs — there's something awesome for everyone.

Youth Participants Guardians must fully supervise children under 16. This is a free community event, not a drop-off program. Come ready to be part of it.
