Learn the craft of ceramics and pottery from expert instructors. Craft clay into useful earthenware and art. Develop the foundations of ceramics through the following:
Craftsmanship & Form Produce handmade crafts. Make your own bowls, cups, art, and more for your home. Master traditional styles to integrate into your own works.
Art & Design Study design in three dimensions. Explore the basics of sculpture and expressive forms. Hand-paint and decorate, elevating what you craft. Develop your personal style as an artist.
Traditional & Modern Methods Gain a holistic understanding of traditional and modern techniques. Coil, sculpt, and spin on the wheel. Fire your works by different methods: from our electric kiln to outdoor pit fires.
Our Apprenticeship Mentors are experienced educators teaching authentic skills. They are facilitators of thoughtful growth through the power of nature and community.
How It Works
Apprentice Training Weekends 1 Saturday or Sunday a month, Fall - Spring
At our Monthly Training Weekends, Apprentices join a team of friends learning from expert Mentors. For flexibility, we offer many schedule options–see below for dates.
Graduation Day June, 1 day
Parents and family join Apprentices and Teachers for a community celebration of what we learned.
Different Apprenticeship age groups have customized curriculum.
